I am an amateur photographer and a member of the Barcelona Photobloggers community.

From time to time I ask myself a question that is particularly difficult to answer. Why do I take pictures? The obvious answer is because I enjoy expressing myself through them. But apart from my own enjoyment, what am I trying to achieve? Well, it's certainly fine and reasonable to takes pictures for oneself, but, in the end, we all would like our images to be noticed and to resonate with others. I'm speaking of interest on an emotional level, not an aesthetic one. Why do I take pictures?
