….always in search of the invisible touch

I am in love with life and light…and my photography is a declaration of this passionate love! I feel an invisible bond of myself with the life force which pulses through all of creation. There is an inner need which thrives me to search for this magical touch in my surroundings. I use my inner and outer eyes and my camera to discover it… to convert the unseen into a symphony of colors and light, exploring the forms, their boundaries, interactions and their transition into the light. I try to find the balance with the smallest depth of field, adjusting the focus to one short layer. My intention is to leave it up to you to complete the picture it self, giving you the virtual space for your own imaginations. (On a technical level this is called “bokeh”.) There is no light on earth without shadow... you might be surprised that I usually take the best enlightened photographs in the shade!

To discover these miracles… you don’t have to go far away. Sometimes it is just about changing perspectives, getting down to your knees, lying down in the meadows or crouching down around in between the vineyards… you’ll be surprised what you will get, how the daily and ordinary suddenly reveals the mystery of of being deeply touched by beauty and light.

As much as I love to photograph, I enjoy wandering through your photo streams, seeing the world with your eyes, getting in touch with your vision of life. It is a wonderful world of inspiration to find here on Flickr… as well on the photographic level as on the personal level. I just completed my year here in this wonderful network… and I am truly thankful for the inspiring friends I have met… and to discover anew. I live in Koenigswinter/Germany (with my husband -his two grown up sons- and our two children). My inner connection still is with Southamerica (Ecuador, Colombia, Perú) where I grew up and part of my family still lives.
