About Karl Louis ( Karl Louis )

k.l. was born 1959 and grew up in the swiss alps.
he started taking pictures when he was 12 years old and learned all about photography from an older photographer with NIKON equipment. his first camera - bought when he was 15 with self-earned money - was an affordable PRAKTICA (from former DDR, east germany).

as a young man, working for SWISSAIR, he was able to travel a lot and took mainly pictures of landscapes and people.

he got married and became father of a boy and a girl. when the kids got older and his former wife became a model, he started taking pictures again.

he works digital with CANON equipment, has been published in many books and websites. he organizes workshops and phototrips. he is also works in webdesign and webmanagement.
