About ghoermann ^pro ( Georg Hörmann )

I am interested in photography since I was 15. I started with old-style SLRs, worked in the darkroom (b&w), but dropped it after I started to work (not enough time). Since the upcoming of digital cameras and the whole image processing thing I restarted with great pleasure. I take pictures whenever I can, normally I do not use flash, post processing etc.

If you have any suggestions for my pictures, do not hesitate to tell me. No need for too much "Kuschelfaktor" (an untranslatable German expression, standing for the habit to find always something positive to say, even if there is no reason). If it is shit and if you don't like a picture, feel free to say so. I am out of Kindergarten and I can support some critical remarks. If it gets too much I have a wife to comfort me 8-).


Generally I only fav the pictures I like, I rarely comment on pictures because I do not want to give the same comment a thousand times ("Nice composition, nice colours"). Many pictures talk directly to me - no need to spoil the visual conversation by using words and sentences.


I try to avoid what I consider pollution of the visual environment: I select only my best pictures for publication and I try to post only one pic a day.
If you post messages to my guestbook please do not put any pictures, animated GIFs etc in it. I hate it and will delete it without notice... There is a reason why I post pictures and not videos.
