Ich nenne mich Waldläuferin, weil ich oft unterwegs bin, nicht nur im Wald, aber dort sehr oft. Des weiteren ist die Doppelbedeutung zu den Waldläufern in J.R.R. Tolkien's Büchern bewusst beabsichtigt :-)

Seit Juni 2009 habe ich eine Nikon D90. Die Bilder vor diesem Datum wurden mit einer Canon PowerShot 510 und 590 IS gemacht.

Praktisch alle meine Fotos sind "out of the box". Nur sehr selten nehme ich einen Ausschnitt oder bessere etwas nach, dann schreibe ich dies dazu. Für mich besteht die Kunst des Fotografierens im „Sehen“, ein Bild entsteht im Hier und Jetzt. Und die ganz spezielle Stimmung eines einzelnen, vergänglichen Momentes einzufangen, den Blick auf das Detail oder das Dahinter zu lenken, zum Hinsehen zu verführen – das sind die Dinge, die mir wichtig sind.

Ich bin Mutter von zwei Mädchen, Hausfrau, teilzeit berufstätig und wohne in der Schweiz in der Region des Bodensee. Meine Alben begleiten mein Leben durch den Jahreskreis, und sind ansonsten meinen magischen Hand-Arbeiten gewidmet, wobei ich das englische Wort „Crafting“ dafür eigentlich viel besser mag :-)

I call myself "Die Waldläuferin" which is actually rather a characterization than a name. In German it means "the one who walks the woods". The same term has also been used in the German translation of the books of J.R.R. Tolkien for his characters called “rangers”. This connection is fully intentional :-) So I guess you could say the English translation of my name would also be something like "The Rangeress".

Since June 2009 I have a Nikon D90. The pictures before that have been taken with a Canon PowerShot 510 and 590 IS.

Apart from only a very few exceptions all my pictures are “out of the box”. Sometimes I crop or correct a little, in this case I write this in the description. I think the art of photography is the art of view, pictures are taken in the here and now. And to catch this special and timeless moment, to show a detail and what lies behind, to encourage a closer look – those are the things that are important to me.

I am a mother of two daughters, a housewife, working part-time and living in Switzerland in the region of Lake Konstanz. My albums show my life with the wheel of the year and are dedicated to my magical crafting (love this word :-) )
