PLEASE NOTE: I am the owner of all of the vintage photographs that I have scanned and posted on ipernity. To the extent that any copyright exists, it is mine.

As a collector of vintage photographs of men, I am excited by the opportunity that ipernity gives me to "publish" them to a wide audience.
Many ask me where I find these photos. I've been collecting them for quite some time, haunting antique shops, antique shows, and eBay auctions. If you're patient and dogged enough, it's amazing what you can find out there. My collection includes over 3000 actual photos and about the same number of digital images that I've gotten from other collectors and downloaded off the web. I have published several books of my personal collection, which are available at:
I've been truly amazed at the response these images generated during the 3 years my collection was on Flickr. While the number of views (over 1.9 million) was fun to track, it's been more gratifying to see people interact with the past through these photos. I am struck by the comments and dialogues attached to many of the photos, running from the serious to the humorous to the risque. And there are the artists, touched by an image, who have taken images and made them their own in unique and wonderful ways. Then there are the messages from members telling me how much they appreciate having the chance to experience these photos. Each of these responses has added to my enjoyment of not only collecting these wonderful photos but also sharing them.
