Hey there!

(Before you ask anything, please read all of this.)

I'm 18, & a self taught amateur photographer,
& I study art in school, which is fun, but stressing.

My art might seem a little crazy, childish or simply just weird,
but I'm trying to reflect who I am through it, & what's on my mind.

F.A.Q.

When did you start photographing?
- I started taking photos December 2006 when I was 16 (but only for MSN & MySpace), 'cause it was then I got a digital camera (a FujiFilm FinePix A500, which I still use to this date).

What's your style in photography?
- I don't have one, I have favorites. If you ask me, it's not about having "one" style, it's about the subject in your picture & how it comes out when you first shoot it (& how you edit it, if you do). I also think it's boring having "one" style only, I like a big variety in everything.

Are you a model, or have you been modeling before?
- No I'm not a model, but yes, I've done one photoshoot when I was 16 for this modeling agency, & that's it.

What's your inspiration?
- I have to say everything, but mainly music, video games & movies.

Why do you take so many self portraits?
- You're probably thinking to yourself; "Heck, she must be caught up in herself, showing herself off like that...", but no, I'm not. I'm just the "best" model I have, 'cause I have full control over myself (for example, I'm always here when I need a model, I know what I want, etc....). So, if you don't like seeing my face too much, then don't look at my art. If you complain or are a hater, I will not care.

How do you take your self portraits?
- Firstly to those of you who think I use a tripod, no I don't.
I'll get one when I buy a better camera, but right now I don't have enough money. Secondly, I just put my camera somewhere & use the self timer thing. Or I simply hold my camera & press the trigger.

But why so many depressing photos? Are you depressed?
- I love dark art, but it doesn't mean I'm depressed, but perhaps I am, sometimes.

Are you Asian?
- No, people get mistaken 'cause I am about 40% Sami (basically they are Asians who travelled North). That's where my eyes, height etc. come from.

Do you do your own make-up?
- In my self portraits I do, yes.

What lighting do you use?
- A lamp...& other times, the sun...!

Are you planning on making photography a career?
- Not as much as I know right now. My biggest dream is to work with video games when I get older. But we'll see.

What software(s) do you use when it comes to editing your photos?
- Photoshop.
