About me:
I'm a self taught amateur photographer. Art is a passion of mine, & I try to express my feelings through it.





F.A.Q.

When did you start photographing?
- December 2006.

What camera(s) do you use? (& what lens(es)?)
- Canon EOS 450D with the 18-55mm kit lens, a 50mm F1.4 & 18-200mm.

Are you a model?
- No.

What does your username mean?
- オモイデ (omoide) is Japanese & means memory, so basically it's "bye bye memory".

Why do you call yourself bye bye オモイデ?
- Long story short, I fell in love with a Japanese song where the lyrics said bye bye オモイデ, & then I felt like using it as a username. Also, I think bye bye オモイデ describes how life is, especially photography. We say bye to memories & capture them in a photo.

What's your inspiration?
- I have to say everything, but mainly music, video games, movies & fashion.

Why do you take so many self portraits?
- 'Cause it's fun, & I'm always around when I need a model. Simple.

Why so many depressing photos & poems? Are you depressed?
- I love "dark art" & "sad literature", but it doesn't mean I'm depressed, but perhaps I am, sometimes.

Are you Asian?
- No, people get mistaken 'cause I am about 40% Sami (basically they are people who travelled from Asia somewhere to North of Europe). That's where my eyes, height etc. come from.

What lighting do you use?
- Natural, & sometimes a lamp or two.

Has anyone ever told you that you look like Björk?
- Just a billion people.

Are you planning on making photography a career?
- To be honest, my biggest dream is to work with video games, but I also dream of working as a fashion photographer. We'll see where life brings me.

What software(s) do you use when it comes to editing your pictures?
- Photoshop.

Can I get your MSN/AIM/Skype/Yahoo!/whatever?
- I only use MSN, but you'll have to send me a Flickr mail asking for it. I don't give it to anyone.
