I took this photo some weeks ago, with my hometown in the background. Now it is slightly less snow and it is slowly getting warmer... and brighter :o)

Another photo I took few nights ago when I was trying to capture the northern lights. I like this place, it is only a few minutes drive from my home and the scenery is really great on nights like this :o)

When I was taking this picture, a car drove by. Few seconds later another car followed, it was the police and they turned on the lights on top to stop the other car. That explains the blue lights on the right and the red dot where the cars stopped :o)

Last night I could see a tiny glimpse of the Northern Lights through my kitchen window. I went out and managed to get this picture before they totally disappeared :o)

I went out last night because the weather was so beautiful. The moon was so bright that it lit up all the mountains and I had to try to take some pictures :o)

It was great to take a walk in the evenings when it was not quite as hot as during the days. It went up to 44°C some days and in the evenings it was "only" 20°C, a lot warmer than the warmest summer days here in Isafjordur :o)

A picture I took in the hotel yard one night. I didn't have a tripod so I had to put the camera on a table close to the pool.
They don't have much fresh water there so the swimming pools were with sea.... and I can't believe how cold the pools are abroad…

I didn't have a tripod when I took this picture so I just had to place my camera on a rock and hope for the best :o)

I took a walk in the mountainside above Isafjordur few weeks ago and took this picture. It was very chilly but I always like the view of my hometown when it is getting dark :o)

This is one of my favorite places. Very nice scenery and always great to sit down and enjoy the view after climbing up there :o)

The last picture from that night. All the Northern Lights were gone but I took one more, just checking for how long I could keep the finger on the shutter. I lasted 122 seconds, it was really cold, more than -10 degrees ;o)

... to capture the Northern Lights with my new camera. As soon as I got out it started to get cloudy, but I got this tiny line in one of my pictures. I also need a remote trigger so I can take longer exposures. I'll keep on trying and won't quit until…

Christmas is just around the corner so I thought I should upload a picture with some snow and Christmas lights :o)
