Bodie is an original mining town from the late 1800's. What's left today stands in a state of "arrested decay" and is maintained by the California State Parks System, who took over the town in 1962 to make it a State Historic Park.
Shot taken after a mad dash through a rainstorm, to get to this spot where the tour leader knew the light would clear first. He was right! Taken in a bit of a rush, but I've always been pleased with this one, and it hangs on my own walls.
