Breaking the Rekord

Breaking the Rekord
Somebody broke the record indeed.
In stupid driving or in littering.
Or both.

Not to mention the Rekord...

This is the bottom end of Blejski Vintgar ("vintgar" means gorge). The whole gorge is quite spectacular. Truly a sight to behold.

This one is stitched vertically from four shots (taken handheld with the compact Canon A700). Due to high contrast between d…

I just can't believe this weather!

I just can't believe this weather!
Second half of November and it was nearly 20°C (68°F) outside!
We had long warm autumns before, but none like this one.

Not that I'm complaining of course (esp. after that cruel summer)...

At least one good effect of global warming. So let's enjoy it, b…

Patchwork

Patchwork
Accidentally I fed too many shots to the panorama stitcher and it seems that made it go bonkers.

Still, I decided I kinda like the effect. :-)

These holes were made by water, slowly dissolving the stone during millions of years.
Don't be fooled by the scale - left one is some 2 metres (7ft) in diameter.

On this…

Suspense

Suspense
This might seem as a sturdy wooden bridge, but is in fact suspended on two steel cables. You can also see it from the side and below.

When you walk accross it starts to woble. If many people walk accross at once, you can get quite seasick by standing on…

Drava HDR

Drava HDR
Both this and the previous image were combined from two shots with different exposure. One shot had blown-out sky and another very dark water.
For this image I used tone mapping and for DRI image only exposure compression (highlight & shadow correction).
