Crosshatch Palm Leaves
These palm leaves visually sprang out at me during a walk in the Eungella National Park west of Mackay, Qld.
I found the polarising effect of the leaves on one another quite intriguing.

Dad and I set off late in the afternoon to photograph the waterfalls of Finch Hatton Gorge, leaving the family with the cars (they didn't fancy the walk).
