Tim Kiser's photos with the floodlights

I like it because the stupid-lookingness of it is comical.

The franchise owner doesn't realize people are laughing at the ridiculous sign.

Unfortunately the uplighting fixtures on the sign's appendages are light pollution. Maybe a local gun enthusiast could shoot them some night?

The embankment is tall but not as tall as the lightpole. The Uhaul is anthropomorphically opening its eyes wide and exhibiting a combination of anger and disgust.

The color is a careful approximation of Royal Blue, the official color of the Kansas City Royals baseball team. The team would have won the U.S. World Series if more of its fans had ritualistically partaken of sips from this.

Richardson's Furniture Emporium and/or Richardson's Furniture Clearance Center.
Aside from the parking lot and the rooftop floodlights, I could envision this architecture being an idealized representation of a country farmhouse owned by a rural United States family. The streamer is for welcoming home a prodigal son.

"Town of Appalachia" T.O.A. trash day at this Christian weirdness.
"Drinking From My Saucer" is a useful metaphor for understanding what is happening here. The use of Christian crosses to support the floodlights, and as the "t" in "turn," respectively, imparts the angry and vengeful authority of Jesus Christ himself to…

Wilmington Delaware in a section of modest homeyness.

A strip of grass to separate the sidewalk from the carlot!
It was a nice-looking touch that made me feel community. I hope the grass won't get dirtied with people's petmanures; there are tons of pedestrians through this part of town.
