From this to this! Will she ever be completely happy the way I remember her being.

I like that old-fashioned style of handwriting very much.

Philadelphian eveningtime sack of chair.
I thought the beauteous Rittenhouse Square area was expected to be chichi ect [sic] so my tired old eyes were kind of surprised to see that bagged-up old chair sitting out among the rich & stylish promenading eastcoasters.

I kind of like it!

Large old semi-trailer's got plenty of room to spread out in.
Gosh what year did it get constructed in I wonder, and when's the last time it got towed around on some old road someplace. Hasn't it got some graffiti scrawled upon it; I wonder what somebody was trying to say!

Form a pattern do the light-coloured area…

At last I am finally here!! I got so excited about it I felt like I was gonna pass out!, and I needed to sit down on the sidewalk for a few minutes. I hope nobody saw me.

Line-up of Philadelphian Newspaper Sunday Supplement Advertising Inserts.
Or are they junk-mail mailers, nobody knows. I see where somebody has been driving a vehicle on them.

Ha ha it looks like some kind of a washed-up sea-vertebrate doesn't it! Look close, it'll tell what you need to do if you've got a leaky roof in Phila…

Philadelphia's own Bodine Street.

Philadelphia's own Bodine Street.
If I lived in that city I'd call it a rotten old back-alley but Philadelphia calls it Bodine Street.

Am I the only damned-crazey flâneur that ever chose Bodine Street to do his-or-her thing upon! Among a city of 1.4 million people I'd like to think I'm…

A book I noticed.
It's easy to want to try to be "cool" but I couldn't help but notice that book. I bought it & I'm gonna read it. Shep Greene sounds like he's been around, & who else have I got to trust?

Certainly not the typographer for the cover of that paperback v…

Now I'm out for a stroll in Philadelphia.
I'm new to this city and I haven't got any idea what I'm looking at. May my brain never get sliced up by a big blue arrow. Unless it happens after I already died then I won't care. I do like the eyeglasses but what's holding them on.

Very pretty sycamores.

Some South Philadelphian's sack of M&Ms.
No way to treat yr candies, somebody worked hard to make those! I bet you a child would've liked to've eaten them before they ended up that way. Next we'll see people putting their Twinkies & Hohos into the storm sewers won't we.

Atlanta Hotel of Philadelphia.
What is it with these Southern-sympathizing Pennsylvanians such as former U.S. President James Buchanan, who shacked up with a horrid racist Alabamian senator for 15 yrs. If I owned a hotel in Philadelphia I'd name it after a fine Northern city such as Pe…

Turned-around bright eye!

The white lights have been hung to resemble cobwebs. The center lights are displayed inside the plastic tray in which they were shipped and sold. A Schlumbergera.

The bldg looks solidly-built doesn't it!

Philadelphian ton of bricks.
I know that that mess is gonna be tough to get cleaned up but still I kind of like the way that those old bricks look when they get spread out across a large area that way.

Shall there someday be cities on Planet Mars that kind of look like that!

South Philadelphian Jesse Ventura doll-package litter.

Now I'm out for a stroll in South Philadelphia.
"Phillie" is a much more densely-populated city than what I'm accustomed to walking around in, and I kept feeling like my Personal Space was getting intruded upon, invaded etc. Sometimes I felt like I couldn't breathe!

But I kept walking and everything e…
