Arts bench of pretend tug-of-warriors.
Urban planning idea: People would be more likely to sit on this if it were farther from the road and entirely shielded from the view of passing motorists.

Wonderful traffic cone art.
I doubt that there are people who have ever explicitly disliked this, but if there are then those people are on the wrong side of history, because this is where things are headed.

Old horseglues of sharp parts.
PLEASE LOOK CLOSELY, the black panels on which the horse pictures are mounted are shiny, and one is missing.

The left side of the building might be a nice place for putting up some kind of a display, were it ever to get uncovered, revealed.

Washington DC street scene of dumpster tarpaulin and Ikea umbrella, amid residential.
What I remember about Ikea is all of the people back during the 2013 horsemeat scandal who were peer-pressured into pretending to be aghast at the idea of meatballs being made of horse, as though a meatball eater could be regarded as being dainty about wh…

Pizzazz, charisma of wall of downtown Pittsburgh.
It's one of the most-beloved and frequently-photographed walls in all Pittsburgh, but apparently the wall hasn't got an official name? No "Streaks of Something Memorial Wall" nor etc.

Makin summer memories in Richfield.

Makin summer memories in Richfield.
Those Minneapolitans who have ever managed to wander into the inner-ring suburb "Richfield, Minnesota" will recognize the atmospherics of this immediately. "Ah yes, Richfield, I have passed through that."

Sometime a person sat down and thought, "Hmm, de…

Huntington, West Virginia, favorite urban floodplain of Guyandotte River.

Huntington, West Virginia, favorite urban floodplain of Guyandotte River.
The reason the area is kept mowed is so you can spot the riparian copperheads & possums before it's too late & they're on ya. The strangely-placed sidewalk is part of the "Huntingtonians, Move!" initiative undertaken in response to the city's famously po…

As a photographer I was proud that I was able to catch the brief wintertime sunlight just as it was shining into the troughs formed by the adjacencies of the yellow concrete barricades.

As a photographer I was proud that I was able to catch the brief wintertime sunlight just as it was shining into the troughs formed by the adjacencies of the yellow concrete barricades.
The orange traffic cone was put there by workmen, but the rest of the stuff between the barricades is windblown street litter that has gotten trapped. The barricades and the unhitched trailers are arranged somewhat similarly I thought.

Look close, there…

I do not want the dirt work to finish!
Because once the dirt and cone are gone there'll only remain the unsightly & uninspiresome gray building back there. Dirt is better!

A new staircase downtown, to launch you up the dirt embankment, onto the streetlevel and beyond.
Good idea to give people an alternative to scrambling up that dirt, and sliding back down it, esp. on rainy days. The plantlife along the bottom of the embankment are intended to stabilize the soil. The new steps will look whiter & brighter once that wh…

North-central North Carolina, comfortably-settled Piedmont Landscape.
The region looked pretty close to how I expected it would look based on pictures I had seen. This scene is from Graham, North Carolina, and except for the missing sidewalk I felt welcomed. I felt like the Smalltown Southerners didn't mind seeing me walk…

Guglielmo Marconi!

Atlanta Hotel of Philadelphia.
What is it with these Southern-sympathizing Pennsylvanians such as former U.S. President James Buchanan, who shacked up with a horrid racist Alabamian senator for 15 yrs. If I owned a hotel in Philadelphia I'd name it after a fine Northern city such as Pe…
