Small retaining wall for a stormdrain.

Small retaining wall for a stormdrain.
Autumn leaves and litter collect at the grate but not gravel, which is prevented from avalanching toward the drain by a curving wall of larger rocks. That ought to work for awhile.

Light gray building with purple trim. Creepylookin bldg!
The glass block window is covered over, so it isn't providing any light to the interior of the building.

The other side of it might be useful to winoes [sic] in certain circumstances.

"Let these breezes pass through that," I said aloud of the then-blowing winds, and I made a sweeping arm gesture, after I had finished taking pictures.

New look of Bay City: a corner of an intersection.
• I do not know what the three nut-and-bolt concrete-and-steel things are down there. I'd probably like them more if I knew what they are.
• I like the wooden box with the slot; the hydrant; and the walk/don't-walk signal.

Good view of Kamp Bo Carry Out, from up on a ladder or something.
Someday a violently windy weather event is going to pry the roof from this and blow it someplace.

I circumnavigated the building in search of a cornerstone that might tell me when it was built, but there wasn't one. Next, I noticed that the restaurant st…

Wind and nonwind are the only explanations I can think of for the respective sparseness and fullness of the foliage of that. I will obey my eyes and thoughts.

A good view of a McDonald's solarium from a moving bus.
This was from a bus in Kansas City, and thanks to this lucky shot I've been able to study the building since the bus trip.

There is a Home Depot directly behind it, and a Costco in the distance at the left. Interesting place!

Prying up rounded curbs and storing them for later reuse.
I'm getting hungry for a gray plate of frenchfries, served on a bed of sand and gravel with a sprig of parsley.

We might not even need to repaint the curbs after we reinstall them!

I ought to come back here and take another look once the parking spaces have gotten painted in and the traffic islands have gotten covered over with sod and ornamental Young Trees and the dirt has gotten rinsed away with a hose.
