The new stainless steel brake rod can be seen here. The original item was too short due to the lengthened suspension swinging arm.

The wiring is in a shocking state with bare wires , unsoldered joints, odd coloured wires and assorted connectors all wrapped in meters of tape.

The rear brake rod. The swing arm had been lengthened slightly so the rod is not long enough now.Luckily I have a length of stainless steel rod which may be used.

The carburetors looked OK but the manifolds had been destroyed so that's the first thing on the wanted list.

The engine was running before the bike was stripped down so the start was made on assembling all the parts and see if anything was missing.

The wheels had been powder coated and the frame had been painted. New Pirelli tyres had been fitted.

My next project is to assemble a 1984 Honda xr250 enduro bike.The restoration had been started by someone that also had other projects and it was decided that there was not enough room in his workshop to complete this.
