Oak and Yew.

Oak and Yew.
I usually end my walk by returning home through the churchyard, and the late afternoon sun always makes some interesting light and shadows.

Ironbridge Power Station.
They're doing some essential repairs on the 205 meter high chimney, the top is clad in scaffolding. And about a third of the way up is a man climbing the ladder up to the scaffold. I didn't have a longer lens to capture the moment though.

The Lydebrook runs though a deep wooded dingle, and on a day as hot as today it was the coolest place to be.

In the Museum Of Iron at Coalbrookdale there is a lot of old machinery and other exhibits around the car park. and different light, a different angle and a different lens always means there is something to photograph.

The Olympus Zuiko S 50mm f 1.4 is a joy to use, it's sharp and easily usable at 1.4, as these pictures show. You have got to nail the focus, but the results are always worth the effort.

Boy Riding A Swan

Boy Riding A Swan
The cast iron fountain in the Museum Of Iron at Coalbrookdale is a wonderful example of iron founding as art.

This is a massive crop, unsharpened but adjusted for colours, from an Olympus OM 135 / 3.5 that I bought for £5 and had fungus on every element…

The Zuiko 135 isn't the fastest lens in it's class, but wide open at f3.5 it is stunning, as indeed are most of the Olympus Zuiko lenses I have. And the bokeh is fabulous.
