Just south of Circleville, Ohio on U.S. 23, I came across a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant with a very odd sign: A tall pole with a series of six horizontal protrusions and nothing else but a chicken bucket at top.
This very old four-way traffic signal still hovers over a residential intersection in Princeton, West Virginia to this day. Although a conventional shade of yellow today, the light housing used to be painted dark green.
