It's about time I come back to my project... I decided to begin again with something very personal and strong... Owen O'Hagan (Acheron) has a very strong past. I do not reccomend reading if you dislike or feel very upset by strong language and violent themes, especially violence against children. But if you do read, I'd really like to hear your opinion about it... Like the Tag Game on feminism, I think violence against children HAS to be fought and denounced with all our strength. I'm sure Owen agrees. Rathmullan is a short story that is written by him in the novel. About his own past.

August 28, 2013So... The time has come for the bomb to go off, and the ground will be swept from under Seán's feet before he even knows what hit him. Sure enough, Seán's no Vogue reader in any of the languages he's fluent in. He's just not into this kind of reading. If he was, maybe he would have reacted in time... After this flashback, I'll return to the present, and to one part of the impact this flashback had on his life. Then, I'll do some more flashbacks, to give everyone a clear picture in as many aspects as I can. If you didn't read the 2 previous flashbacks, I really reccomend you do that before reading this one, ok? The ideal soundtrack for this flashback, in my opinion, would be "White Wedding", by Whip. Here's the link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6mzBOMOeKI I hope you'll like it! Love, Marcela.
August 26, 2013The first flashback is on how Seán met Renée. Now, it's been three months since the photoshoot was made public, and nine to ten months since Seán and Renée met. He's been taking care of his own business, and publishing a new book. And unknown to him, some strange rumors are spreading on the media, and he's about to start facing a whole new level of harassment as his personal life will be twisted little by little into becoming his worst nightmare. Of course, this is just a second step into chaos, and Seán is still on solid ground. It's a light interview, in which he gives his views on social media, publishing houses and all the buzz his books are making in the US. So far he'd never been to the US at work. I'd like to thank Petra so much! Our talk about Social Media really inspired me while I was writing about Seán's views. He's a teacher, and as such he feels the impacts of social media on spelling and on the students' learning process as a whole. As a soundtrack, I'd reccomend U2 - "Pride (In The Name Of Love)" - www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHcP4MWABGY Good Old U2 is a perfect match for Seán. There's something magical about this song that I think matches the scene, and Janet's discoveries about Seán. I hope you'll like it! Love, Marcela.
