Hi Yety,
I used Photoshop, but you can also use Elements. Make a copy of the base layer of your photo and apply any filter you like (for the effect you want to achieve - I think I used the watercolour filter, or maybe it was the edge filter), then carefully erase the area with a soft brush to avoid any sharp contrasts on the second layer where you want to show the original photo. You can also play around with blending modes to boost the results, but it depends on the photo. And, that is it.
Give it a try. The other photos you have commented on I applied the same filter.

I am afraid I do not know Esperanto, although it is possible to decipher the meaning of some of the sentences since I speak Norwegian, Spanish, Portuguese and English. Hope you enjoyed the photos. Have a good weekend.

Thanks, Atle. Viet Nam is certainly interesting to visit ... and live. Traffic is Ok once you get used to it and the brain gets numb to the chaos... took me a year or so. Now I join the melee and bicycle to work ... kind of daily extreme sport. I am from Norway.
