A selection of paired images where I have managed to locate and photograph an individuals resting place and match it up with a likeness of them, either through painted portraits or stained glass. I will also include where there are double tomb effigies existing of one individual. This will be updated as and when I make such pairings.

November 19, 2013Images of the ladies-in-waiting to Philippa of Hainault, from monuments, portraits and stained glass. Philippa of Hainault was born 24 June 1314 and died 15 August 1369. She was the queen consort to Edward III and is buried in Westminster Abbey. This project is to identify, and where possible, photograph the monuments and images of these ladies of the court.
