Yesterday was Anzac Day in Australia. Our official national day is Australia Day, 26th January, celebrating the establishment of a British Colony here. Thank you so much for your concern Kevin! Most people don't seem to realize that flying is a recent luxury whereas volcanoes have been around... forever ;o) Things are ok here in Reykjavík yes, we have no ash fall here due to the wind direction. But the situation on the farmlands below the glacier is not good. The farmlands have been destroyed by glacial floods and poisonous ash falls. And when it rains the ash turns into grey mud. Let's hope Eyjafjallajökull won't last much longer...
