iMovie newbie

so I now own a mac book pro (yay me!) but I was going to upload the 365 video i created, but the file size is huge for uploading (45mb)
I'm missing some step in my inexperience, on how to save a smaller file size, for upload to the internet, and I'm wondering if any of you understand what i am asking, and could help, and point me in the right direction.
I have a dsl connection, but it would take forever to upload a file that size

45mb is not huge... :) what format is it? mov (quicktime) m4v?

what connection speed do you have? broadband, but how much? 2,6, 16 mbit/s?

concerning the right export settings, i have made some screenshots here somewhere that show my settings.... i think in this forum even. i will find them.
