This is a thread post by Adele at the bpp group on ...
I don't can say it in other words but find it a interesthing thread there...
Thanks to Adele!

....

Have you ever looked at a picture and thought to yourself "Wow, how did they do that?"!! I know I have many times!

Perhaps, if any of you would like to share some of your "secrets", you may do so here ;))

I have no particular technique myself other than simply "playing" around in photoshop until I achieve something I like... perhaps many of you do the same.

Feel free to post your queries / suggestions here!

How to make a cartoon effect by photoshop.

*open the image you would like to change.
*make a duplicate layer.
*apply a Poster Edges filter. Go to Filter > Artistic > Poster Edges.
*adjust the Brightness & Contrast with the values: Brightness Value: 15 Contrast: 30.
*and finally do a cut out.Go to Filter > Artistic > Cut Out.

Voilà :)
