Has someone tried the new color negative film by Kodak? I just want an opinion and see few pictures.

Saw it on flickr. Nothing spectacular.

le ho viste, non sembrano male, bisogna vederle stampate, ma sembrano la versione a colori dell'Acros 100.

Sorry, I forget to translate: I saw it, not bad, have to see it printed, but it seems to be color version of Acros 100.

Prints are colour corrected by the lab. They are NOT the way to judge a film. A scan is the way to judge a film. A drum scan would be the best.

I have tried it in 135, but was not excited very much. I had to adjust the white balance on every picture independently, even though all pictures were shot on the same day with the same lighting conditions (daylight on a cloudy day). White balance seems to differ heavily between highlights and shadows, even between different pictures if they are not 100% identically exposed. Too much hassle for me. Never had this issue with other negative film. I don't quite understand the hype about this film, still prefer slide film by far. YMMV.

I do adjust everything for every photo, anyway.

If you use slide film you might as well use digital. Only negative film has a wide dynamic range, wide enough to compete with digital. Modern digital cameras have 9 stops of range.
