Interesting BBC report.

I think i know enough, and have dealt with the police enough, to be able to argue the toss (in a firm but polite way) with them when it comes to the law, but for most people it would be very unnerving to be stopped and searched. Even for experienced people it can be very stressful if you're on your own and get stopped by group of over enthusiastic police.

When i photographed the Pagan Federation event recently i was asked to take candid shots, but was still very wary of photographing children, and yet they can make some of the most interesting subjects.

We do need to stand up for ourselves.

Weird how these things affect us, isn't it. Almost without thinking I just avoid taking photographs of children. There've been one or two exceptions at a couple of demos, but then I'm conscientious in getting parents' permission.

I was looking at photos (chimping on the LCD) outside a primary school and suddenly realized that it might not be a good idea as someone might think I have been photographing kids
