Tell something about it.
What was your most interesting experiment for taking pix? Or the funniest? Or something else...
Please show your result!

i put some in the pool here.
i have tried to get the most out of my limited equipment. I don't have pro material and for a while i only had my iSight Webcam and some cellphone to shoot with. Still tried to make interesting shots which is kinda experimental.

#208: symmetry ain't always beautiful resistance something's brewing up

Then again i try to play with lightsources, and make dark pictures when the room isn't dark at all. These her for example.

#331 alt: The Watcher moonbathing #247: Exhausted

Watershots are fun: Try to capture drops is a freakin hot shit.

#109: Beware the water #224: Splash ball #070: brainwash please!

Amerikanische Nacht Nikon F-301 - II

For this one I tried "Day-for-Night" or nuit américaine ("American night"), using flashlight and closing the aperature some levels (3 to 5). I reduced red and green using "digikam" and increased blue to let it look more nightly.

You show with your pix which experiments you do. But can you also explain it a bit? Would be great!

Thanx to assbach and Byggvir Of Barley for telling us a bit about...

Ever since I saw the work of early 20th Century photographer Sergei Prokudin-Gorskii (colour separations, making RGB colour images from different monochrome exposures) I've been wanting to try something similar. Now I've been able to fine tune it more, making some usable images.

Example (detailed howto in the image description and in "making of" section found in the above link):

my most interesting photographic experiment (yet) was setting the
camera to self-timer mode and swinging it around by its strap. %^D

All that remains says:
I went for an extreme crop/ aspect . Mostly because I wanted the challenge of putting the elements within a restricted space to help my thinking when composing, but also because there seemed to be something more comparative to how we view objects without a camera. I then found out that the 4:1 format had been used briefly for exactly that same reason, much as 50mm is used on 35mm because of the angle of view.

And so 16:4 was born
