Bokeh with the Canon EF 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM

The EF 70-300 DO IS USM is a special (some would say problematic) lens in the case of bokeh.
Through it's highly light-breaking 'diffracting optics' it has no continuous degradation from sharp to non-sharp, but a crayon-like distortion near the sharp area that gets weaker with the distance.
Some people love it, some hate it ...
