Definition of an Animal Portrait?

What exactly do we expect to see here? Just a picture of an animal? Or do we want the animal as close and personal as possible? In my opinion a portrait should show only the face. In a short time there will be a lot of animal groups. This group should define certain rules for a portrait to stand out from the other groups and to become something special.
