Blanco Noir photography is in the tradition of the great film noirs. Movies are nothing more than photographs strung together. Movie Noir showed intrigue, shadow, light and dark, what is, and what might be with each frame being a single photograph, a black and white photograph if you will. Having grown up in Los Angeles I remember the endless late night conversations with many who had worked on the lots in the lighting department during the 30’s 40’s and 50’s, the stills they would show and the stories they would tell could fill a 1000 ipernity sites. Blanco Noir photography is dedicated to the ‘Film Noir’ of yesterday, and the ‘Black and White’ photography of today. The guidelines are quite simple, style, grace, imagination, and above all, black and white.
