It would be nice if you could do some "Profiles" like "At work". There are some pictures on IP which I like to see at home, but at work they might trigger some discussions (although I shouldn't look at IP at work anyway and actually work ;-) )

Strict for anonymous is a pity. It will close once more the site on itself. I would hope on the contrary that it open more to the world outside.
Not particular rules for a country could be good, except that it obliges to follow the rules of the less tolerating. The question of "profanity" is an example of that bad good idea

That said, I do not think a 13 year old is fit to see all what is, and if (s)he wants to, I do hope not a photo sharing site like iper is the place (s)he goes to first. Yay for anti-censorship, of course, but I do not want this place to turn into an anarchy porn site either. For what its worth, these people ruin it for people like Christine L. and her like minded.

2. I'm curious about the age verification system you are planning too. Usually US adult sites allow access to hardcore content just with a click at "I'm 18 years or above". So if you just ask a user once per session before he/she can access orange or red content, it should be enough for that part of the world.
assbach pro replies:
my kids were able to do that since they were 4 or so.
it's true it's up to me as their parent to prevent them from surfing to inapproprate and insecure and adult pages. but i think this button "18 or over" doesnt make that much sense (alone)

Mainly this feature is needed for ipenity to be safe against justice problems.

Our goal is not to replace parents role and responsibility but to prevent "as best as we can" unwanted access to inappropriate content.
Just like with parenting...you must try 100%-give it everything you have (your words "as best as we can") and yes, there will be somethings that get through the cracks but at the end of the day, you will be able to say... I gave it all I had, i gave 100%. I think this is all you can do and i commend you for it.

I agree about parental responsability. My daughter is never left alone when she's on our computer, which we decided to be situated in our living room in order to be able to control its use.
I agree about the need of 'parental protect' software, even if it never replaces reel parental control.
BUT
For example, Ipernity is not, today, declared as offensive in most of these software. And everybody knows that kind of software is not 100% sure (which explain the need of parental control, etc...)
Christine, I do not consider your art as offensive, and I'd never think about filtering it... But I sometimes find some bad porn on Ipernity. Kind of amateur pictures which have been shot in a sexual goal, not art.
I think having a way to choose, sometimes, not to be exposed to "orange" or "red" content just because I want to browse Ipernity photostreams with my daughter to show her nice pics would be a great idea (even if I know this won't be 100% sure neither).

Christine Lebrasseur pro replies:
The only good parental filter is the one that the parents set up. If I decide that Ipernity is not convenient for my children, I block it and I don't need somebody else to decide on it on my place.

And Ipernity is not "all" bad for children, my daughter loves to see pictures of our friends and family which are also on Ipernity... Do I have to 'block' all Ipernity because only few members use it as a kind of 'porn pics collector' ?

I'm half italian, half swedish, I easily understand you're german point of view as you have to understand that even if naked human body is not evil, some pictures can hurt children sensibility.
My 5 y.0. daughter is used to see me or her father naked, we really don't have any problem with this, we share the same bathroom and so on... But we do not have sex in front of her.
Filtering explicit sexual content is, IMO, a good thing.
