I don't love sadness...But I like grief...
Grief is a beautiful emotion...It makes us remember moments are precious and very short.
It makes us remember to live in peace in spite of war.
It makes us remember happiness value in the world.
It makes us stop while running without thinking and say us "Think your life twice!"
Let's share grief! With photos and music documents....
Thank you for joining this group...I love all of you.

Yeshim, thank you for the invite!

i thought the group name was a bit confusing, as GRIEF suggests a negative feeling. may i suggest you consider using a different name...

GRIEF = a deep and poignant distress caused by or as if by bereavement or a cause of such suffering or an unfortunate outcome: disaster — used chiefly in the phrase come to grief or a mishap, misadventure or trouble, annoyance or annoying or playful criticism
www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/grief

in your description, you are suggesting this word...

REMINISCENCE/REMINISCE = recall to mind of a long-forgotten experience or fact or the process or practice of thinking or telling about past experiences or a remembered experience or an account of a memorable experience.
www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/reminiscence

It is however, just a suggestion... it is always good to have a positive outlook on things ;) but if we are to post things that cause us grief also!, then it is ok too!

cheers!

Ok, thank you for this good suggestion...I don't want to make depressive to my friends...In fact, I belive grief is necessary but after it Reminiscence have to come.
Not going to depression, only stopping... sometimes bad things and difficulties and leaving something or somebody make us think about our life reality...It is like a disaster. So I mean grief for this group...Then, after planning and washing our mud with grief, melt our heart, we will live Reminiscence.
Thank you very much to make me tell these words...I am glad to see your positive thinking.

Grief does have a negative feeling, that is for sure. But one often grieves over something that one has loved - so grief does connect to a positive feature of the past. In a way, this gives grief a not wholly negative flavour - a sadness, but a sadness for good times past.

It's true that grief is often the result of mishap, disaster, misery. Another strong association is with feelings of loss, of longing - usually intense, poignant.
But at times this loss, longing can also be gentle and bittersweet - is this your intent Yeshim?

Thank you for your invitation.I love to have this one Venice picture in this group.
Grief is rather a luxury feeling. You need a fine, sensitive antenna .
I think that pictures can make this feeling intensiv.
