THE MEETING POINT (an interesting debate about where to meet...)

hye there !!
That's cool !

When we suggested this meeting 3 monthes ago we didn't thought so many people would join
even the TEAM IPERNITY is coming !!!!

if my approximations are good (and i'm pretty sure they're not !) .... lol (i'm 0 @ math.... )
we could be .... 45 peoples to meet in Berlin !!

but the next question is WHERE ?? and When ??

because if on monday we all say "i think i've seen someone with a camera but not sure"
we'll regret a bit our travel

i suggest

ALEXANDER PLATZ SATURDAY 10.00 am
don't ask me exactly where, never been to Berlin before ^_^
but i'm sure 30 peoples with a camera, a huge shy smile and shooting everything will be easily viewable....

if you're ok ... cool
if you' re not ... you can !

I will come by car, I guess others too, leaving DA Saturday in the very early morning (distance to berlin is almost 600 km from here, takes about 5 hours drive if things go well). It would be good to have a contact phone numer (mobile) in case of delay (traffic jam, bad weather etc.).

Down the road, Karl-Marx-Allee, there is the Café Sibylle. Could be some kind of an address where to meet when we are tired or want to leave messages.
At Jannowitz Brücke at the river Spree there is a Restaurtant called Ännchen von Tharau. There is space for cars and the S-Bahn / U-Bahn Jannowitzbrücke, and they have space for some 40 people, reasonable prices.

and maybe it'll be complicated ...

Maybe you could meet at a place then join us where we'll be ?!
if you're only 2, it's hard to move 35 peoples
see what i mean ?
it's just by experiment of "many peoples meeting" that i allow myself to say that... it's my fourth
but
i don't know Berlin and i can't speak for everyone
so... what others think about a second hour in the day for other peoples

(or i let you my phone, but it's a french one and i don't speak German.. lol)

I agree with you. We shouldn't go for a second meeting place. Those joining later can ask me for my phone number. But I don't know Berlin well, so I'll need help of other people from Berlin with the instructions.

Just like you I think it will be to confusing posting several meeting places here, especially if we are 40 people.
I think the best is for those joining later to phone me. If they want to meet before joining us, they can certainly do that. But I wouldn't discuss the times here. Otherwise it may become too confusing.
But I don't think it's a big problem joining us later. Everybody who wants to do that can write me and I'll send him/her my phone number. I just don't want to post it openly. smile
