Lucky roll film

I bought 10 rolls of Lucky 100 asa. The first I tried was a disaster. The sticky tape which should hold the film to the paper dried out and was lose. The film was never wound on the uptake spool, but folded somewhere in between spool and back. When opened, all film fell out and was exposed to normal daylight. Anyone had this weird experience before?

Maybe it was old film, or a defective batch. It's really upsetting when that happens. Sorry, never used Lucky Film in 120. Still busy finishing my 50 rolls of Kodak t400cn, from 2005.
