Mine too. I'm quite new to Linux, so Ubuntu is the only distro I've used. I started with 6.06 I think.

ubuntu 7.10. Have been using it since 5.04 and have always been happy with it... most of the time (but always more than with Windows, which I still have to use at work :-/ ).

im going back from gutsy gibbon 7,10 to edgy eft 6.06, if the new update to 7,10 was unstabil, slow and break all the day one more... thats not good, and then i make a new partiotion, and the old and good ubuntu....., i have do, ubuntu, kubuntu, 7.10, the same problems too...

Ubuntu 7.10. On the old desktop still Ubuntu 6.06. Should be replaced with Debian 4.0r1 sometimes™ - I want a Debian Machine, but on Notebooks i like Ubuntu more, because everything works without a hazzle ...

Upgraded to Ubuntu 8.04 on both machines. Upgrade was flawless even from 6.10 ...

I use Ubuntu 7.10
and before I used U7.04
and before before Mandriva 2006/2007

the point for me is that these ditros "speaks" Esperanto
besides, I really like Ubuntu
(I've been using windows for many years, from win3.1 to xp)

I'm using Slackware 12, but I'm gonna install Ubuntu 7.10, wich I recomend to begginers, then I need to test.

There was an advertisement poster in the Hamburg subway showed a very bad translated part from some kind of an instruction manual (kinda funny to read). And a writing asked: „Und wie steht es um Ihr Englisch?“ (“what about your english?”).

Since this language school had this advertisement poster, i try to use english as best, as i know, always keeping in mind, that the German of most of the other Internet users is as bad as my english :)

I have Ubuntu 7.04 installed on my notebook (7.10 don’t works in ANY way, maybe 8.04 will). On the desktop PC i’m going to buy in the next few months (yeah, i’m realistic. “soon” would be a lie *g*), i’ll try Gentoo.

I also often use "Puppy", a small distro which works from a CD and is very fast (for in fact it works from the RAM)

Mine is Mandriva 2008.1 Spring Free. When I started with Linux several years ago, Mandrake was the only one which could easily and safely be installed along with Windows on a new partition. I tried several other distros, but I always went back to Mandrake/Mandriva.
In Ubuntu, I don't like th "primal art" look, and the use of Gnome (I prefer KDE).
If Mandriva becomes too commercial, I plan to switch to Debian.
I also use Slax on an USB flash key. It works indeed and I love it!

Fedora, at my Desktop the latest stable (8) and on my Notebook the Fedora 9 Preview to test KDE 4.

Upgraded to Ubuntu 8.04

Gentoo on all prod. systems, some old Debians at customers (but they will be replaced step by step) ...

Tried many different distros since my adoption of Linux in 2001. I started with Mandriva (Mandrake back then) and after all my searching, I came back to Mandriva in late 2006 and have been very happy.

Mandriva 2008.1 is a wonderful OS, in my opinion. Runs great on our EeePCs.

Just ever (OK, after windows) I've use Debian (testing). Windowmanager was xfce4.

Currently using: Arch, Debian and Crux.
I like the simplicity of Arch/Crux and the BSD oriented core and package managers.

As Livedistribution I use grml instead of Knoppix.

I used Arch for several months. I found it to be a nice distro. - very fast. These days my servers, desktops and "Live" distro. are all Mandriva. Sort of a one-stop shopping solution. ;o)

I'm using (open)suse since 1996. Tested also debian, red hat, ubuntu etc. I always went back to suse linux.

I'm esing Debian Lenny @home (desktop and notebook). Remote machines running Debian Etch.

I use Gentoo Linux on my new notebook since a few weeks and it's a pretty cool distribution...teached me a lot about compiling, building the kernel, using such tools like initramfs and fdisk, managing the runlevels and so on.

Well … I’m now using three different distributions.

Arch Linux on my desktop(-replacement), Debian Testing on my EeePC in an extended EeePC version, and Ubuntu 8.10 on my “server”.

Ubuntu 8.04, now in Xfce environment.

I have used Ubuntu 8.10/8.04 64 bits but now I'm with Ubuntu 8.04 32 bits.
I have also tried from the Live CD Kubuntu 8.10 and Xubuntu 8.10 / 04.

Switched to Ubuntu 8.10 with Netbook Remix interface on both netbook and desktop (but with Wine apps there are window management problems)

I avoid using Linux if somehow possible. I am prefering SunOS and OpenBSD. But if I have to use Linux (for whatever reason) I am using CRUX.

I swapped to Kubuntu (and Ubuntu on my second computer), 9 months ago, as all my friends were using it, but I'm not quite satisfied. Mandriva was globally a little better.

Desktop and Eee-PC now running on Arch, Server is running on Ubuntu.
