Comments on Viceroy Buildingtag:ipernity.com,2024-03-29:comments/doc-42830146http://cdn.ipernity.com/p/101/F5/9D/302581.buddy.jpgA trip to Southpost in the pouring rain where I soon discovered that the architectural merits of the town are minimal. A beacon amongst the drab and uninteresting was the Viceroy Building on the corner of Eastbank Street and Wesley Street. This is missing from the listed structures list which seems to comprise the usual array of churches and former banking buildings rather than something genuinely interesting and innovative such as this. In addition to the marvellous turret there is a fine selection of stone balls, lions and an eagle decorating the structure. This was definitely the highlight and I headed for the station soon after.2024-03-29T01:55:04+00:00ipernity.com╰☆☆June☆☆╮ has added a comment:tag:ipernity.com,2016-08-22:comment-472419862016-08-22T17:32:14+00:002016-08-22T17:32:14+00:00╰☆☆June☆☆╮http://www.ipernity.com/home/june_antill╰☆☆June☆☆╮ said:
