cold sun, swallow me
cold sun, swallow me
girls like me
go down so easy
like a glass of water
like the devil's daughter
and this heaviness sinks
like a ship into the sea
like lover, into me
falling like rain
like a crack of pain
it strikes me blind
until even the mirror
can no longer find me

I love the stark contrasts here, and your words are fascinating. I wonder what you mean by the "cold sun"... I like the ambivalence, though, mostly because I like the idea of a cold sun, of harsh light that doesn't warm the spirit.
