hehe Rembrandt lighting, nice, but too harsh. Underexpose at low ISO and bring up shadows.
The edited one has nicer skin colour (the purple looks unnatural in the original), but as everyone says the soft skin look is not so cool... maybe making the original B&W and using the edited as a layer above it with blending mode set to colour would give you the texture of the original and the colour of the edited... just an idea

yep i know, i didn't have a big choice for the original one( an old picture).... My canon is broken, i'm waiting for a new one, i'll just want to have some fun with this effect..... you're right, too harsh :)
