Azinheira, Quercus ilex

These trees take decades to grow, so they are very precious in our Dry Land. I protected this one spotted 3 years ago with 5cm and am monitorizing its growth. There is a metallic net around but I removed it to take the photo.

Eu ando de volta com uma oliveira bebé comprada numa "grande superfície" vai para 3 anos e já a vi crescer uns vinte centímetros...está agora com 40...já percebi que nem com mais trinta anos a vou ver adulta. Mas já tenho uma sobrinha "testamenteira" para prosseguir a empreitada.
