We didn’t have significative rain at all since... months... but we had some in March and now, so nature responds already. When it rains here it is very violent and does not last. We have a very long dry season and our summer is totally dry.

Abençoada água. Esta planta, tão comum em Portugal, é ou não é lavanda? Já tive esta dúvida várias vezes com algumas pessoas e umas dizem que sim outras que não...A Isabel, que é mestre nesta matéria, é que me podia esclarecer sem margem para mais dúvidas. :-) Boa semana e proteja-se.

Boa noite Paulo. Mestre não, tenho tantas dúvidas e tanto por aprender...
Estas são lavandas, mas não é aquelas que se cultivam no sul da França.
Esta é a Lavandula pedunculata, a outra é Lavandula angustifola, utilisada em alta perfumaria. Lá também cultivam mais frequentemente um híbrido de Lavandula angustifolia e Lavandula latifolia que serve para perfumaria mais comum e sabonetes, óleos essenciais...

Aqui chamamos “rosmaninho” a esta.
Há uma confusão de nomes porque o nosso alecrim chama-se em latim “Rosmarinus oficinalis”...e os franceses chamam-lhe “romarin”...

Como vê isto é de bater com a cabeça nas paredes, hahahaha

Obrigado Isabel. Pois eu também lhe chamo rosmaninho, mas agora não vou "embirrar" com quem lhe chama lavanda.. .afinal, deve ser um tique "cultural", lavanda é mais fino...:-)).

I hope you'll get some more rain! I suppose every bit of humidity brings an explosion of flowering plants.
We had a reasonably wet winter but in March nearly all the rain happened in one single day and since then it has been much too dry, so drinking water reservoirs are already running low.
