Long Beach, Canada, Black Bear

I told you when I published the Grizzli bear pictures that I had been very close to a black one. This is it, when I saw him at first. It was dusk, and when he was closer, about 15/20 meters from me, it was to dark, I couldn't photograph him. He really did not care about anything else but what he was doing...

Não estava. Não sou medrosa. Uns 15 minutos depois ele estava mesmo perto de mim, não me mexi e ele não me passou cartão.
Os unicos animais que me metem medo são os felinos, mesmo assim não é bem medo, é mais fobia.

We had a complete info like in your link with films on the matter in a visitor's centre. The dumpsters have a special opening so that bears cannot access. Everywhere we saw advertising on how to deal with wild bears...

In Finland we have only brown bear (Ursus arctos), and only up north. Brown bears usually avoids any contact with people. But there is one very famous, named as Juuso, living with a man Sulo:
