Monochamus notatus (northeastern sawyer), Bryce Canyon

THIS IS THE LAST ONE TAKEN IN BYCE CANYON.... THIS FELLOW SUITED HIMSELF TO A RIDE IN OUR CAR.... SO BEFORE LEAVING THIS PARK I CAUGHT HIM WITH MY SCARF AND RELEASED HIM IN THE SOIL OUT OF A PARKING AREA. AT FIRST HE DIDN'T MOVE, SO I COULD TAKE THIS PICTURE, AFTER A GOOD MINUTE HE TOOK OFF, MADE A CIRCLE AROUND ME AND LEFT TO THE TREES....
THIS MADE MY DAY TOO: I AM HAPPY TO "SAVE" ANIMALS, I AM THE KIND THAT TAKES THEM AWAY FROM THE TRAILS AND THE ROADS....

Merci Thierry, ton identification a permis que je recherche. En fait galloprovincialis n'a pas atteint les USA. Dans la côte Pacifique ou cela a été pris c'est le "notatus". Espèce considérée invasive.

Considéré nocif j'apprends... mais je ne regrette pas de lui avoir redonné la liberté. Je ne tue pas les animaux, même ceux que je n'aime pas... exception des moustiques s'ils m'attaquent, mais encore je préfère utiliser des répulsifs comme le géranium qui est très efficace.
