Festive Buzzard

Festive Buzzard
I have been trying to get a shot of these birds for around the past year. About 6 months ago, I eventually got my new lens - 50 to 500mm zoom, the Bigma. I thought, this is it, I'll finally get them . . . no chance. Then, today while travelling up to Killie I saw it on its usual perch at the side of the A77, taunting me as it always does. So, we pulled over and I got out, camera & monopod in hand. As I sneaked up I was partially hidden by the odd bit of hedge row, then it began to fly & I couldn't believe it, it came closer and perched on another fence post slightly in field. I moved closer and rattled off about 10 to 15 frames, I moved closer again and thought it’s going to go any minute, but it actually came a little closer, amazing. This is the end result. Yes, it’s a "COMMON" Buzzard, but hey it’s still a "WILD” Common Buzzard.
Jees, that was a novel, it's just a bird Wullie let it go.
