Melasti ceremony, three days befor Nyepi, the Balinese New Year, this time on March 8, 2019, and the Balinese year began in 1941. At the Melasti ceremony, thousands of Hindu devotees make a pilgrimage to a beach by the sea or a lake to honor the Hidugott Baruna and give him his performance, rid himself of all the bad things of the past, and throw them into the ocean.

Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue is the symbol of God Vishnu riding the great Garuda as his trusted companion. The statue is designed to be one of the world’s largest and highest monumental statue in the world. Total height of the statue is 120m, consists of 24 segments and formed with 754 modules made of copper and brass coated patina acid.

The former royal palace of Tirta Gangga (which means water of the Ganges river) features tiered fountains, gardens, and stone sculptures of mythical creatures spouting water into bathing pools. Just outside the palace grounds, the views of the lush rice paddies of northeastern Bali are stunning.

When we entered the Tirta Gangga royal water garden, the first thing we were gone see is a stretch of the water pool. Also, there is one towering temple on your right side. We could see the fish at the base of the pond. Water in the garden is spotless and fresh because the pool water comes from a spring instead of treated water. The springs at Tirta Gangga by local people in the area around regarded as holy water.

An excursion to the Gunung Agung and a beautiful flower park called Taman Edelweis. No edelweiss can be seen, maybe the reason that the write the name with one "s" only. The friendly family came from far to enjoy themselves in the park.

Full name is Tujuan Wisata Pondok Edelweis Karangasem Bali. This is a new attraction for local tourist. Its located nearby Besakih the holy temple at Gunung Agung volcano. No one real edelweiss flower can be seen in the garden but the flowers covered the fields they look like a bit of edelweiss. Maybe the reason why edelweis written with only one "s". Before this park built by the local community, we can see immortality plants, the flower called "Kasna" or "Edelweis Bali". Like tapestries, white, Bali Edelweis is spread throughout the community gardens with natural grow and harvested for sell in the market.

The first stop of the tour on the occasion of the Tirta Yatra festival took us to the little-known Tura Tirta Lan Segara temple near the village of Medewi in the far west of Bali. Hundreds of Hindu devotees bring their offerings to the altar of the temple and pray for the goddess Melanting for prosperity and success.
