Banteay Srei gopuram door
It has been speculated that the temple's modern name, Banteay Srei, is due to the many devatas carved into the red sandstone walls.
Here shown a door with its lintel and the carved Apsaras left and right. The details are in excellent condition.
A gopuram is usually rectangular in form with ground-level sandstone doors, often richly decorated, providing access.
