Memorial to a cruel history
A sad reminder on the premise of Wat Thmei of an unimaginably horrific past, it is also not to forgotten after 40 years. Admirable is denied as compared to many other countries, which usually displace their past, stand up often apparent mass murderer as a hero, now deal with Cambodia's brutal history and is currently trying to pull the former monsters to justice.

THis is so sad. I cried and cried when I saw it. Cambodia has so much horror in its recent history. I found Tol Sleng prison unbearably distressing. Love Diana

I'd a simular feeling when I visited this place a second time.
The prison Tuoi Sieng (S21) in Phnom Phenh makes everybody depressed and it it conveys disgust. Look to my album about my visit in Cambodia 2001:
