baluchestan mosque
The bright colours of the main mosque in the village of Tis reminded me of Hindu temples in India. The whole region is one step closer to the Indian subcontinent being so close to the Pakistan border. Most of the people in Baluchestan are Sunni Moslems. But I was told that until the revolution both Sunnis and Shias prayed at each other's mosques, attended each other's festivals and generally got on fine. Since then religion has become a political issue and therefore a divisive one.
