A side issue: I was astonished to find, when I first moved to Madrid that it is almost impossible to get HOT chili peppers here. They just don't feature in their cooking. You have to go to specialist market stalls that serve either the very small Indian community or the (very much larger) South American community. Even then, I have to go to Lavapies where the Indian community is based to have a guarantee of finding them (I like to cook curry occasionally, or chilli con carne when I am in a bit of a student bedsit retro mood!)

This pepper was anyhow very hot. When I, after cutting and photographing it, touched my nose, it was hurting for many hours :))
