Buttercup

Buttercup
Hide, hiss, hiss, hide. And occasionally walk past a human being growling all the way to the food dish. Yep, Buttercup has proven herself to prefer life away from homo sapiens. Once we adopt out Fizz and Vinny, we will try to trap Buttercup and get her in for her spay. Then this beauty will be released, either on the foster farm or back where she was originally trapped (the homeowners do put food out for a couple of cats they assume visit from neighboring farms). We'll have to decide what is best for this beauty. Too bad she has such disdain for our species, but at least Buttercup will be spayed and have food available to her.

In time, she may become another Heidi or Lulu, realizing humans are okay. In the meantime, at least she's well fed and being watched over.

It's funny how some cats just don't like people. I agree, it's best to not try to adopt her out. If she is at the farm, maybe like Heidi she will come to like people over time. If not, she may just be happier living outside in a good situation. I find it fascinating that her kittens were relatively friendly, but that she doesn't like people.

I have to sometimes wonder, why people end to be so cruel. I wish she will get well soon and trust people again.
