The beautiful Penelope has been advertised for over a week now. No responses. Not a one. The beauty is a mere one year old, and she's a true, young "one." I had hoped that someone out there would be jumping at the bit to take in a polydactyl feline who has already been spayed. Apparently not. I suspect that is a reflection of the abundance of "free kittens" everywhere. Somehow this year there seems to be even more kittens out there than usual. Tough to compete. But I have enjoyed spending time with this social girl. Penelope greets me at their door without fail. She plays a motherly role toward her two older kitten roommates. So sweet to see her dote, groom, and overall cherish them. The right home is out there for this girl. We will be patient!

BTW, I took photos of the trio this afternoon. I plan to advertise Giselle next. I'm holding off on Fiona as she is not spayed yet. I do not think that she is pregnant at this point, but I will hold off getting her into the vet. I have to run down to the foster home in order to see Monte off to his forever home, but I do hope to upload plenty of photos into the album for these three girls this evening.

She looks gorgeous on red! I am disappointed that no one is leaping at a chance to adopt this beauty! I would, if I had room and if I lived closer! I'm glad she's friendly as sooner or later there will be a point where people will be looking for adults again, and it will make it easier to adopt her out.

I have someone coming to meet Midnight this evening (also at the foster home) and I too am going over to be there, though usually I don't do so. I will also try to get some pictures of Cali and Mabel, as they will both be going up for adoption very soon. Mabel loves the family dog, so I will be trying to find her a home where she can have a dog, and Cali will be getting her booster vaccination later this week and then I will make her available.

I can't believe no one would want such a beauty. She is clearly hanging on for that extra special forever home

She is so cute and sounds like the sort of kitty anyone would want. I so hope she finds a good home soon. As I may have mentioned, I volunteer in the cat adoption center at Petsmart once a week and we have many cute kittens (from 8 weeks to about 1 year) and in the past month not a single application has been filled out for any of them! I feel so bad for these young kitties living in cages.
